Description
The Integrated Master's Degree in Agricultural Science is awarded by the Department of Natural Resources Development and Agricultural Engineering of the School of Environment and Agricultural Engineering at the Agricultural University of Athens. The study programme provides comprehensive education and training in the scientific field of Agricultural Science, with emphasis on the rational use and protection of natural resources, environmental management, agricultural engineering, and land improvement infrastructure.
The scientific fields of the Department include water resources, soil science and agricultural chemistry, environmental management, geo-environment and natural hazards, agricultural structures, and agricultural machinery. The Study Programme is organised into ten (10) academic semesters and corresponds to 300 ECTS credits. It includes core courses, specialised direction courses, laboratory and tutorial exercises, field activities, practical training, and the preparation of a diploma thesis.
Relation to Employment
Graduates may work in fields related to infrastructure planning and management, water resources management, soil protection, environmental management, precision agriculture, automation systems, smart farming, and renewable energy applications in the agricultural sector. They may also work in public and private sector organisations, development bodies, regional administration services, research institutions, and interdisciplinary teams.
Access Requirements / Progression Opportunities
Admission to the program requires a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (High School Diploma) and successful participation in national-level examinations.
