The program lasts eight (8) academic semesters and consists of twenty-two (22) required courses, twenty-two (22) elective courses from a total of thirty-nine (39) elective courses, a thesis, and an internship. The curriculum of the Department of Tourism focuses on the following core thematic areas:
1. Organization & Management of Tourism Enterprises: This involves acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge of contemporary methods and approaches to the organization, management, and operation of tourism enterprises, tourist destinations, and cultural organizations.
2. Digital Technologies & Tourism: This track focuses on acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the promotion of tourism and cultural resources through modern information and communication technologies.
3. Historical, Political & Cultural Aspects of Tourism. This track aims to familiarize students with key aspects of human civilization and to provide the necessary knowledge base in this field, so that it can be applied within the context of tourism activities. Emphasis is placed on the Mediterranean region as a cradle of civilizations throughout history.
4. Foreign Languages and the International Dimension of Tourism. This involves acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the management and development of tourism and cultural services in an international environment.
5. Thematic Tourism. This involves acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the management and development of alternative tourism services.
