KNOWLEDGE
1. Describes the essential parts of crops, characterizes their development stages and understands the necessity of knowing their biological cycle for successful landscaping interventions.
2. Describes the stages of the crop from sowing to harvesting.
3. Identifies the main crops and reports data on their biological cycle, the harvested product and their economic importance.
4. Distinguishes between different categories of pests, diseases and weeds in cultivations, reports on the available ways to address them and recognizes the risks associated with pesticide use.
5. Distinguishes between breeds of farm animals and birds with the purpose of breeding them (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, hens, geese, turkey, ostrich, pigeon, goose).
6. Indicates and describes ways of animal and bird raising, as well as the care for the health of livestock buildings.
7. Describes the life cycle of bees and the required care for the efficient operation of a beehive.
8. Describes the types of machines (soil treatment, plantation establishment, care, harvesting of agricultural products and forage plants).
9. Recognizes the basic tools, instruments and machines and various materials and supplies used in agriculture.
10. Identifies the types of pumps and describes their function.
11. Describes the necessary equipment of farms and processing plants of plant and animal products.
12. Distinguishes the production factors, understands the effects of the accounting year and composes an effective business plan.
SKILLS 1. Performs works for establishing plantations.
2. Selects the appropriate variety for sowing.
3. Prepares the ground for cultivation, sows and provides the cultivation care until harvest.
4. Implements ways to combat the different types of enemies, diseases and pests of crops, taking appropriate protective measures.
5. Applies appropriate irrigation methods and the equipment necessary, depending on the cultivation.

7. Applies the basic rules of raising and health of a farm animal production.

Transitions

Access to programmes leading to such qualifications is available for graduates of compulsory education or graduates of the 1st class of General Upper Secondary School (they may enrol in the 2nd class of EPAL).
Holders of qualifications of this type are entitled to obtain, following examinations, an EPAL Certificate. With the acquisition of EPAL Certificate they also gain access to the Apprenticeship Class (Level 5).
