KNOWLEDGE
1.Describes the printing techniques and its respective materials.
2. Analyses the use of computer software for the creation of a layout and for image processing.
3. Specifies the procedure required for a publication.
4. Identifies the time periods and characteristics of art through its various expressions.
SKILLS
1. Creates layouts and prints them.
2. Develops computer design applications in a computer using suitable software.
3. Selects the suitable materials depending on the result required.
4. Develops the layout of books and generally of complex documents with text and images.
5. Operates the equipment and materials required for the downloading and printing of photographic material, and the associated processing software.
COMPETENCES
1. Converses creatively with his/her colleagues.
2. Assesses and monitors the result of a printing.

Holders of qualifications of this Type are entitled to obtain a professional license, along with the relevant rights, as provided by the pertinent legislation on the specific specialty.

Transitions

Access to programmes leading to such qualifications is available for graduates of compulsory education or graduates of the 1st class of General Upper Secondary School (they may enrol in the 2nd class of EPAL).
Holders of qualifications of this type are entitled to obtain, following examinations, an EPAL Certificate. With the acquisition of EPAL Certificate they also gain access to the Apprenticeship Class (Level 5).
