The holder of a Vocational Upper Secondary School degree of this specialty:
KNOWLEDGE

1. Describes the nature, operation and maintenance of heating and air-conditioning facilities, and of their components.
SKILLS
1. Installs, adjusts and controls cooling and air-conditioning units of all types (monobloc, SPLIT, semi-central with duct network etc.).
2. Performs work on the copper tubes.
3. Assembles the cooling circuit.
4. Fills the unit with liquid coolant and performs other maintenance works.
5. Connects and regulates the electric and electronic control and protection systems.
6. Maintains and repairs cooling and air-conditioning units of all types.
7. Verifies the proper operation of all main and auxiliary accessories in the cooling circuits.
8. Replaces and repairs accessories for the air-conditioning circuit.
9. Calculates and selects the components of the cooling and air-conditioning devices and facilities.
10. Designs circuits of cooling and air-conditioning facilities, views and sections of components for the cooling circle and views of the cooling - air-conditioning units.
COMPETENCES
1. Collaborates with other technicians in the performance of his duties.
2. Works autonomously.

Holders of qualifications of this Type are entitled to obtain a professional license, along with the relevant rights, as provided by the pertinent legislation on the specific specialty.

Transitions

Access to programmes leading to such qualifications is available for graduates of compulsory education or graduates of the 1st class of General Upper Secondary School (they may enrol in the 2nd class of EPAL).
Holders of qualifications of this type are entitled to obtain, following examinations, an EPAL Certificate. With the acquisition of EPAL Certificate they also gain access to the Apprenticeship Class (Level 5).
