The graduate of the Department:
Knows: the elements of electric, electronic, and digital circuits, of automated control systems, of electrical energy systems, of electric machines and facilities, of telecommunications systems, and of electronic and computer networks.
Understands and analyses: the operation of electric, electronic, and digital circuits, of automated control systems, of the structure, operation and institutional framework of electrical energy systems, of electric machines and facilities, of telecommunications systems, and of electronic and computer networks.
Is capable of:
- Designing, implementing, and supervising the manufacture, maintenance, operation of: electric and electronic systems, automated procedures, IT and telecommunications systems, and integrated energy systems using new technologies.
- Designing and developing products and services relevant to the aforementioned sectors.
- Implementing programmes of applied research and development.

Further Information

The curriculum of the Department of Electrical Engineering aims to provide modern scientific knowledge and help the Department's students develop the necessary skills in order to work as Electrical Engineers of Technological Education. Special attention is paid to laboratory exercise and to a wide range of applications of the science of Electrical Engineer. The purpose is to provide the best possible training to the graduates of the Department on technological issues, concerning the operation and the control of electrical energy systems and facilities, the design and the implementation of electronic, IT and telecommunications systems - modules and automation systems.

Relation To Employment

The title of studies is linked to the professional practice license of Electrical Engineer of Technological Education.

Transitions

Access to this type of qualification have those who have completed at least the secondary education (level 4).
Holders of such qualifications gain access to study programmes at the same level or at level 7 or 8.
