The graduates of the Postgraduate Studies Programme: 
- know and understand:  the technologies of intelligent networks and micro-networks, of conventional and renewable energy sources (RES), of distributed production, of demand management, and of modelling and refining of such systems;  
- apply these knowledge for the resolution of modern problems, advancing technological research in Greece and internationally; 
- combine their knowledge for the effective management and treatment of problems related to the above technologies; 
- communicate clearly and succinctly their conclusions and opinions to specialised or other audiences;  
- have the necessary learning skills to further their studies at a higher level or on their own. 

Further Information

The purposes of the Postgraduate Studies Programme are the following: 
- The advancement of knowledge and the development of research in the relevant scientific fields of Electrical Engineers of Technological Education. 
- The creation of quality Engineers to the benefit of society and science. 

Its subject includes the following: the scientifically-proven production and dissemination of advanced knowledge in the scientific field of Electrical Engineers with emphasis on the relevant scientific fields of energy systems, hardware and software, the cover the entire range of modern applications, while making use of modern design tools. 
The themes of the subject of the postgraduate programme refer to the technologies of distributed micro-production of energy using conventional and renewable energy sources (RES), the integration thereof in networks and micro-networks with intelligent control, as well as the management and refining of such networks using modern design tools.

Relation To Employment

The title of studies offers specialization and has a supplementary role for the exercise of the profession of Electrical Engineer of Technological Education.

Transitions

Access to this type of qualification have those who hold a Bachelor Degree (level 6). The selection of graduate students is mainly based on the following criteria: the overall grade of the Bachelor Degree, the grades in undergraduate courses that are relevant with the subjects of the Master’s program, the performance in thesis, where is foreseen at the undergraduate level and any research activity of the candidate. The detailed application of the above mentioned criteria, the definition of additional criteria or the conducting of examinations and interviews, the results of which are taken into account in the selection, are determined by decision of the relevant Department.
Holders of such qualifications gain access to study programmes at the same level or at level 8.
