The graduates of the department:
- Have a high level of theoretical and clinical knowledge that are necessary for the critical understanding of the theories and principles of the Nursing sciences and for exercising it.
- Have advanced skills in order to be capable of effectively working at every healthcare level (Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary).
- Are capable of managing composite technical or professional activities or plans of nursing care, while assuming responsibility to take decisions.
- Are capable of seeking the advancement of education and practice of the Nursing science to the highest possible level.

Further Information

The general objective purpose of the programme is to prepare Nursing personnel who shall be capable of promoting, protecting, preserving, and restoring the health of persons / groups or the autonomy of vital physical and mental functions of them, taking into consideration the personality of each person and their psychological, social, financial, and cultural characteristics, as such responsibilities are described in Government Gazette 79/19.01.2015.

Relation To Employment

The title of studies is necessary for the exercise of the profession of Nurse.

Transitions

Access to this type of qualification have those who have completed at least the secondary education (level 4).
Holders of such qualifications gain access to study programmes at the same level or at level 7 or 8.
