The profession of the Financial and Management Engineer is open, and no professional license is required. Notwithstanding the above, this is a very demanding profession, since it combines knowledge of engineering and management or finance. The steep requirements of the profession, in combination with the currently uniqueness of the Diploma of Financial and Management Engineer in the Greek field have allowed for increased demand in the labour market, and especially in the private sector, where 90% of the graduates are employed. The basic fields of responsibilities for the Financial and Management Engineers in businesses is financial engineering, project management, supply chain, financial-technical studies, and general the applications of quantitative methods and informatics for the resolution of purely administrative or administrative and technological problems.
