The graduates of the Postgraduate Studies Programme: 1) Acquire specialised knowledge on the subject of New Forms of Education and Learning. 2) Demonstrate critical understanding of the pedagogical views, theories, methods and practices developed in the fields of Lifelong Learning, Adult Education, Remote Education, and Electronic Learning, including the interconnection thereof with other cognitive branches making use of the New Forms of Education and Learning. 3) Have increased critical and differentiated perception of the evolutionary dynamics and of the latest issues on the formal, non-formal, and informal learning, under complex conditions and conditions of socio-economic, cultural, and technological globalisation, as well as with the utilisation of new technologies (ITCs). 4) Acquire specialised knowledge with regard to the rules, the structures, the conditions, and the procedures required for the design, development, organisation, administration, and evaluation of the respective programmes. 5) Acquire specialised knowledge on new technologies and the utilisation thereof for the design and implementation of education, further learning, and training programmes. 6) Acquire specialised knowledge on research methodology, necessary for original research and professional activity in these fields.
Skills
The graduates of the Postgraduate Studies Programme: 1) Apply with ease the theories and methodologies of Social Sciences and Education Sciences over the entire scope of actions for the design and implementation of structures and programmes for formal, non-formal, and informal education and learning with the use of technology. 2) Design, develop, and evaluate relevant research and studies, with a critical and creative manner, seeking at the same time innovative ideas in composite and interdisciplinary issues of the New Forms of Education and Learning. 3) Proceed, with a scientifically documented manner, to valid judgements about new issues on the New Forms of Education and Learning, and search for solutions, while considering the various relevant social, financial, and cultural dimensions. 4) Substantiate their positions using valid and clear arguments before a specialized audience or laymen with clarity, adequacy and accuracy.
Competences
The graduates of the Postgraduate Studies Programme: 1) Have the competence of constantly and further developing their knowledge and skills with regard to the subject of the New Forms of Education and Learning, at a higher level each time. 2) Are capable of designing and implementing programmes for education, further learning, and training for organisations of the public and private sector, by making use of new technologies. 3) Are able to effectively deal with random issues related to the design, operation, and development of new educational environments of formal, non-formal, and informal form. 4) Contribute to the development of the relevant knowledge and practices at an academic, professional, and business framework. 5) Have business competence in managing crises, of pedagogical, organizational, or other form. 6) Undertake the scientific responsibility for the design, development, or evaluation of a Lifelong Learning Programme, through innovative, learning structures, teaching methods, and practices.
