Description

The graduate of the programme is expected to (a) have increased specialized knowledge on a specific separate field of economics, (b) apply with ease and originality the specialized knowledge acquired during his/her doctorate in research, analysis, and development of innovative solutions in composite issues, and (c) contribute to the development of the knowledge of his/her field, while being able to become a member of the teaching and research faculty, as well as a senior executive in banks, businesses, and other Organisations of the public and private sector.

Further Information

The purpose of the Doctorate Studies Programme is the education of new researchers with the purpose of conducting autonomous, original, and cohesive scientific research, which advances Economics. Tuition in the programme of doctorate studies includes two cycles of studies. The first cycle includes attending courses and exams, and the second the preparation of the dissertation.

Relation To Employment

Having high qualifications of this type, they may either be self-employed or they may work in key positions for state or private businesses and organisations.

Transitions

Access to this type is possible only for those who have obtained at least a level 7 qualification (unless it is provided for otherwise).
Holders of such type qualifications have access to programs of study of the same level.
