Graduates of the programme have the following:
Knowledge:
• Have increased in depth knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to successfully cope with the administrative tasks of any level of a Health Organization (Hospitals, Diagnostic Centres, etc.) or of Social Welfare (Social security, Elderly Protection Centres, etc.).
• Demonstrate a critical understanding of the principles, theories, methodologies and practices of Management of Health and Social Welfare Services and its interface with other areas of knowledge.
• Have increased critical understanding of the evolutionary dynamics and cutting-edge issues in the Management of Health and Social Welfare Services, Human Resources Management, Statistics emphasizing Biostatistics, Market Research and Promotion of Health Products and Services, Health Systems and Policies, Disease and Epidemics, Accounting and Inventory Management, Health Economics and Operation of Insurance Organizations.
• Select and organize appropriate strategies and practices for effective Management of Health and Social Welfare Services in the context of continuous change.
Skills:
• Implement methodological approaches and techniques in the performance of their organizational, production and administrative functions.
• Implement with originality the knowledge acquired in research, analysis and development of innovative solutions to complex, interdisciplinary and innovative issues of Management of Health and Social Welfare Services.
• Articulate in a scientifically documented manner innovative solutions to complex and new issues and formulate valid judgments, taking into account the respective relevant social, economic, cultural and ethical dimensions.
• Document their positions with specialized information and arguments towards a public specialized or not, with clarity, efficiency and accuracy.
Capacities:
• Continue to develop with autonomy their knowledge and skills at a high level.
• Implement professionally the specialized knowledge and skills they have acquired and effectively address new, interdisciplinary or unforeseen issues.
• Undertake independently responsibility for action plans and crisis management at environments of Health, Social Support, Management of Human Resources in Health and Social Welfare Units, Teamwork, and apply them to the entire range of operation of Management of Health and Social Welfare Services, combining knowledge and practices taught in different objects included in the MA Curriculum.
