Description

The holder of an EPAS certificate of this specialty:
Knowledge:

1. Acquires theoretical or practical knowledge on general or specific fields related to the professional field of Salons.
2. Understands his main duties and instructions during the application of composite methods, techniques, materials, equipment and tools used for Face and Body Beautification, Make-up and manicure and pedicure.
3. Combines his knowledge in order to resolve more complicated problems when executing his duties in collaboration with the professional Beautician.
Skills:
1. Performs a series of composite tasks in collaboration with the professional Beautician, both in known and unknown and unpredictable environments.
2. Can safely operate tools, materials and equipment with the purpose of performing composite practical works of Salons, while observing the relevant regulations.
3. Has communication skills and can use professional terminology; he is capable of evaluating and presenting the results of composite works and collaborate with the other personnel of the professional field.
Competences:
1. Performs responsibly and autonomously Beautification works in a specific field of work or study.
2. Participates in group procedures, offers or seeks guidance for the resolution of complex problems.
3. Undertakes the responsibility for performing Beautification tasks with safety, in collaboration with the professional Beautician, takes initiatives to resolve problems in environments that are less familiar to him.

Relation To Employment

License to provide services, in accordance with the provisions of each specialty.

Transitions

Access to EPAS is given to graduates of 1st grade of General Upper Secondary School (Lykeio) or Vocational Upper Secondary School (EPAL).
The holders of Ptychio EPAS have access to:
- the 2nd grade of General Upper Secondary School (Lykeio) or
- the 2nd grade of Vocational Upper Secondary School (EPAL), in a non-related specialty to the obtained EPAS qualification.
- the 3rd grade of Vocational Upper Secondary School (EPAL), in a specialty related to the obtained EPAS qualification.
