The holder of an EPAS certificate of this specialty:
Knowledge:
1. Describes the operation and programming of CNC machine tools.
Skills:
1. Installs, operates and technically supports metal working machines.
2. Manufactures simple and complex parts of mechanical applications.
3. Selects the material processing steps and the corresponding machine tools.
4. Selects the cutting tools, toolkits, and jigs.
5. Selects the processing parameters.
6. Operates and programs the computer for the different treatments.
7. Operates the machining simulation programs.
8. Follows regulations and health and occupational safety and environmental protection standards.
Competences:
1. Collaborates with other technicians in the performance of his duties.
2. Works independently.

Relation To Employment

License to provide services, in accordance with the provisions of each specialty.

Transitions

Access to EPAS is given to graduates of 1st grade of General Upper Secondary School (Lykeio) or Vocational Upper Secondary School (EPAL).
The holders of Ptychio EPAS have access to:
- the 2nd grade of General Upper Secondary School (Lykeio) or
- the 2nd grade of Vocational Upper Secondary School (EPAL), in a non-related specialty to the obtained EPAS qualification.
- the 3rd grade of Vocational Upper Secondary School (EPAL), in a specialty related to the obtained EPAS qualification.
