Description

Students receive academic and applied knowledge in modern shipbuilding technology, including the methods for the design and construction of ships and floating structures and craft in general.
After the successful completion of the curriculum students acquire the necessary skills, which ensure comprehensive training for their scientific and professional career and development. The skills borne by graduates of the Department, cover the fields of construction, refitting, operation of ships and floating structures, including the systems thereof. After completing their studies, graduates of the Department can work as responsible technologists - Naval Engineers, in areas under their competence, in the private and public sector, autonomously or as employees of businesses, and of Ship Building and Maritime organizations and agencies, as well as in and Educational Institutions.

The Undergraduate Programme of Naval Architecture of Technological Education of Athens TEI aims to pass the scientific and applied knowledge in modern naval architecture, including the methods for studying, designing, and manufacturing vessels, floating structures, and crafts in general.

Relation To Employment

The degree in Marine Engineering of Technological Education is necessary to pursue the occupation of Naval Engineer of Technology Direction.

Transitions

Access to this type of qualification have those who have completed at least the secondary education (level 4).
Holders of such qualifications gain access to study programmes at the same level or at level 7 or 8.
