Direction Administration of Tourism and Hospitality Businesses: The content of the curriculum of the Introductory Direction of Administration of Tourism and Hospitality Businesses covers the cognitive subject related to the application of the Sciences of Business Organisation and Administration, with specialization to the businesses and organisations providing services in the fields of tourism and hospitality. The main focus of the curriculum is the tourism economy, competitiveness at level of tourism businesses, hospitality businesses, and tourism destinations, the culture, the environment, innovation, and social acceptance. The main subject of this programme of studies is to provide quality education to students, so they can obtain the substantial scientific and technological knowledge, competences, and skills, which will offer them the ability to work and dynamically operate as employees and executives of all hierarchical levels of the businesses and bodies of the tourism industry. - For the cognitive field "Administration of Hospitality Businesses", there are thematic sections that cover the functions of the hotel and catering businesses, such as: administration of hotel businesses, administration of reception departments, catering administration, financial administration of hotels, etc. - With regard to the cognitive field "Administration of Travel and Transport Businesses", there are thematic sections that cover the operations of these businesses, in subjects that involve the following: transports and travels, administration of travel agencies, tour operators, programming and design of various types of travel products and holiday packages, organization of conferences and events, tourism marketing, etc. - With regard to the cognitive field "Tourism Sector", which is mainly addressed to the Administration of Organisations and Bodies (Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Greek National Tourism Organisation, Local Governments, Development Companies, etc.) the thematic sections that cover their operations are the following: tourism economy, tourism development, tourism policy and design, tourism marketing, alternative forms of tourism, etc.
Relation To Employment
The Department of Business Administration has the cognitive subject of its Introductory Directions (Presidential Decree 95/2013, Article 2, par. G). Under the current institutional framework, every Introductory Direction (a. Administration of Tourism Businesses and Businesses b. Administration of Health and Welfare Units. c. Business Administration) is addressed to a separate number of admissions through a separate code of choice when completing the computerized admission card and has a curriculum based on its cognitive subject. At the same time, it is also expressly provided that the relevant Introductory Direction is indicated on the Department's Study Title. Also, the graduates of each Introductory Direction are bestowed with professional rights recognized in different PD.:

PD 356/1989 on the Administration of Tourism Businesses and Hospitality Businesses
Transitions
Access to this type of qualification have those who have completed at least the secondary education (level 4).
Holders of such qualifications gain access to study programmes at the same level or at level 7 or 8.
