KNOWLEDGE
The MBA in Tourism, MBA in Hospitality provide integrated knowledge on issues of administration and management for businesses in the field of hospitality and tourism, such as hotels, catering companies, travel companies (airlines, etc.), travel agencies, events companies, and other companies offering tourism services.
The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge and business practice, allowing students to familiarise with the basic principles of management for the businesses in the hospitality and tourism industry, while also acquiring specialised knowledge, skills, and experience on these subjects. Specifically, students acquire knowledge about the markets, the procedures for developing and promoting tourism services, the customers and their needs - preferences, the organisation and management of operations and procedures in tourism businesses, the financial management of tourism businesses, the management of human resources, ICTs, and the IT systems in the field of tourism, about business strategy, along with modern issues, such as the operation in multicultural environments, the moral values, innovation and entrepreneurship, customer service, etc.
Following the successful completion of the programme, the graduates shall have and be able to use a wide range of cognitive / intellectual and technical competences, along with personal and interpersonal skills, which are necessary for a successful career in the field of tourism.
